Indian Rice Pudding
Ingredients
- Ghee 2 tablespoons
- Lentils 0 oz
- Cinnamon 1 piece
- Basmati rice 0 oz
- Milk 0 qt
- Muscovado Sugar 5 oz
- Coconut Liqueur 0 fl oz
- Macadamia Nuts 0 oz
- Raisins 1 tablespoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Melt 1 tablespoon of ghee in a pan, add the rinsed lentils, and sauté until golden.
Step 2
Add 750 ml of water and half a cinnamon stick, and cook for 25 minutes.
Step 3
Add the rinsed rice and milk, and cook for another 10 minutes.
Step 4
Add the sugar and cook for another 10 minutes, stirring.
Step 5
Remove from heat and add the crushed second half of the cinnamon stick and coconut cream.
Step 6
In another pan, roast the nuts and raisins in 1 tablespoon of ghee until golden.
Step 7
Sprinkle the nut and raisin mixture over the finished pudding.
