Description
Indian kulfi ice cream is a traditional frozen dessert made with milk, sugar, and flavorings such as cardamom or saffron. Ingredients
- 33% Cream 15 fl oz
- Saffron a pinch
- Condensed Milk 15 oz
- Cardamom 1 tablespoon
- Rose water ¼ spoons
- Pistachios 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
In a small saucepan, combine half of the cream and saffron, and heat until it reaches a gentle simmer. Then remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
Step 3
Then pour the saffron cream into an airtight container and place it in the refrigerator for an hour.
Step 4
Chop the pistachios with a knife.
Step 5
Pour the chilled saffron cream and the remaining cream into the mixing bowl and whip.
Step 6
Add sweetened condensed milk, cardamom, rose water, and 3 tablespoons of chopped pistachios. Mix well.
Step 7
Pour the mixture into small clay pots or silicone molds.
Step 8
Insert popsicle sticks into the silicone molds. Place the popsicles in the freezer. For the first couple of hours, stir them every 30 minutes to ensure they thicken and freeze evenly.
Step 9
Sprinkle the future ice cream with pistachios and place it in the freezer for another 4 hours or until it is completely frozen.
Step 10
Serve the finished ice cream on a hot day.
