Indian Apple Marmalade Phal Ka Halwa
Ingredients
- Apple 10 pieces
- Coconut Oil 3 tablespoons
- Sugar 1 cup
- Raisins 5 oz
- Almonds 0 oz
- Ginger 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Wash the apples, peel them, slice them, and sauté in oil, stirring, for 4–5 minutes until softened. Add 2 tablespoons of water, reduce the heat, and simmer uncovered for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 2
Add the sugar and cook until thickened, then remove from heat, add the raisins and almonds, and mix well.
Step 3
Cook for another 2 minutes, then remove from heat again.
Step 4
Spread the marmalade on a baking sheet in a layer 2.2 cm thick and let it cool.
