Description
Ice Cream with White Chocolate and KitKat
Ingredients
- 3.2% Milk 10 fl oz
- 30% Cream 5 fl oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Salt a pinch
- Cornstarch 3 teaspoons
- Cream Cheese 0 oz
- Dry Malted Milk Powder 1 tablespoon
- White Chocolate 5 oz
- KitKat Bars 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Dissolve the cornstarch in 50 ml of milk.
Step 2
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the remaining milk, cream, sugar, dry malted milk powder, and a pinch of salt, stirring until just about to boil. Remove from heat, add the previously chopped white chocolate, and let sit for 5 minutes to allow the chocolate to melt completely. Then return the saucepan to the heat, stir the mixture until smooth, bring it back to just about boiling, pour in the cornstarch milk, and cook while stirring constantly until thickened. Remove from heat, add the cream cheese, stir until smooth, cool to room temperature, and then refrigerate overnight.
Step 3
Freeze in an ice cream maker, adding the previously cut KitKat pieces in white chocolate during the last few minutes of freezing. Transfer the finished ice cream to a container and place it in the freezer until firm.
