Hungarian Crumble Apple Pie
Ingredients
- Apple 6 pieces
- Butter 5 oz
- Wheat Flour 1 glass
- Sugar 1 glass
- Semolina 1 glass
- Baking Powder 2 spoons
- Cinnamon 1 tablespoon
- Vanillin a pinch
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare the dry mixture. Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, semolina, cinnamon, and vanilla powder.
Step 2
Wash the apples, peel them, remove the cores, and grate them using a coarse grater.
Step 3
Grease the baking dish with butter and layer the pie: a layer of dry mixture (7 mm), a layer of apples, and so on. I ended up with 4 dry layers and 3 apple layers. You should finish with a dry layer. Top it off with pieces of cold butter (grated or cut).
Step 4
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for 45-50 minutes, until golden brown. If using a multicooker, select the 'Bake' setting and set the timer for 60 minutes. After the signal, add another 45 minutes.
Step 5
The finished pie must be cooled completely before removing it from the pan. If using a slow cooker, use the steaming basket for this purpose.
