Description
Cherry Okroshka, a Hungarian cherry dish. It is served not with kefir, but with sour cream. It is delightful both as a dessert and as a main course.
Ingredients
- Marinated cherries 20 oz
- Water 0 qt
- Cinnamon 3 pieces
- Clove 7 pieces
- Sugar 4 spoons
- Wheat Flour 1 tablespoon
- 20% Sour Cream 10 oz
- Salt a pinch
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare the necessary ingredients.
Step 2
Pour water into a pot and add the cherries.
Step 3
Add sugar, cinnamon, and cloves. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes over low heat.
Step 4
In a separate bowl, mix the sour cream and salt.
Step 5
Add flour and 250 ml of hot cherry broth to the sour cream.
Step 6
Mix thoroughly.
Step 7
Pour the sour cream mixture into the soup.
Step 8
Stir and keep on low heat for another 5 minutes.
Step 9
Remove the cinnamon and cloves from the soup.
Step 10
Serve chilled.
