Hungarian Beef and Vegetable Soup 'Pusta'
Ingredients
- Beef 10 oz
- Tomatoes 20 oz
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Salt to taste
- Orange Bell Peppers 2 pieces
- Onion 1 head
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Black Cumin (Cumin) to taste
- Thyme to taste
- Paprika 1 teaspoon
- Pasta (corkscrew) 5 oz
- Herbs 1 bunch
- Scallions 1 bunch
- Farmers cheese 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the beef into slices and sauté with the onion and garlic in vegetable oil.
Step 2
Remove the seeds from the peppers, slice them into strips, and add to the meat.
Step 3
Peel the tomatoes, chop them into small pieces, and add to the meat. Simmer for 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 4
Pour broth into the sautéed mixture. Add paprika, cumin, and thyme. Bring to a boil and cook for 15 minutes.
Step 5
Add pasta to the soup and cook until done.
Step 6
Garnish the soup with chopped herbs, green onion, and cheese.
