
Hummus with Roasted Pepper

Description
This hummus has a softer taste and is less similar to traditional hummus. It also requires less olive oil due to the moisture contained in the pepper.
Ingredients
- Chickpea 1 can
- Red Long Chili Peppers 1 piece
- Tahini 2 tablespoons
- Lemon ½ piece
- Olive Oil 0 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 390°F.
Step 2
Roast the red pepper for about 20 minutes, then turn it over and roast for another 20 minutes.
Step 3
Remove from the oven and place in a plastic container with a tight lid, then immediately refrigerate for about 2 hours.
Step 4
Drain the liquid from the chickpeas.
Step 5
Peel the skin off the pepper and chop it roughly.
Step 6
In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, red pepper, tahini, and lemon juice.
Step 7
Gradually add olive oil to achieve your desired thickness.
Step 8
Serve with pita or lavash.
