Hot Dogs with Asian Cabbage Salad
Ingredients
- Sausages 15 oz
- Vegetable Oil to taste
- Hot dogs 8 pieces
- Grated Ginger Root 1 piece
- Kung Pao Sauce ¼ cup
- Mayonnaise 5 oz
- Chopped Green Onions 2 tablespoons
- Lime Juice 2 tablespoons
- Green Papaya 5 oz
- Turnips 2 pieces
- Red Currant 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the grill or barbecue.
Step 2
Brush the sausages with 2 tablespoons of hoisin sauce. Place on the grill and cook, turning, for 6-8 minutes until cooked through. Place the buns on the grill and toast for 1 minute.
Step 3
Grate the ginger and squeeze the juice into a bowl. Add mayonnaise, cilantro, lime juice, finely shredded both cabbages, grated carrots, and the remaining hoisin sauce. Mix well.
Step 4
Slice the buns in half lengthwise, without cutting all the way through. Fill each with the cabbage salad, then add the sausage and serve.
