Ingredients
- Sugar 5 oz
- Apple 30 oz
- Dry White Wine 5 fl oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Vanillin to taste
- Ground Cinnamon 1 teaspoon
- White bread 10 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Sauté the chopped apples with cinnamon, 100 g of sugar, and half of the butter until soft. Soak the slices of bread in a mixture of wine with 50 g of sugar and vanillin. Place 2/3 of the slices on the bottom and sides of a buttered baking dish. Fill with apples. Cover with the remaining slices and brush with butter.
Step 2
Bake at 390°F for about 30 minutes.
