Honey Sponge Cake
Ingredients
- Sugar 5 oz
- Honey 2 spoons
- Chicken Egg 6 pieces
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Sweetened Condensed Milk with Coffee to taste
- Dark Chocolate Glaze Dr.Oetker to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Whisk the eggs, sugar, and honey until you achieve a thick white mixture. This should take at least 10 minutes. The volume should increase by about four times!
Step 2
Then gently fold in the flour, mixing from the bottom up.
Step 3
Pour the batter into a baking pan lined with parchment paper. Don't forget to give it a couple of gentle twists in one direction just before baking (to ensure a smooth surface). Bake in a preheated oven at 170–355°F. Check for doneness with a toothpick. Let cool in the pan!
Step 4
Then, run a knife along the edges and turn the sponge cake out onto the table.
Step 5
Cut the cake into 3 pieces.
Step 6
Spread the layers with boiled condensed milk (you can whip the condensed milk with butter (150 g) or with sour cream).
Step 7
The top layer should not be covered with cream. Instead, pour chocolate glaze over it and sprinkle some nuts in the center. There's no need to wait for it to soak; you can eat it right away.
