Ingredients

- Baking Powder 1 teaspoon

- Mild Chili Spice ¼ teaspoon
- Salt ¼ teaspoon
- Cardamom ½ teaspoon
- Cognac 1 tablespoon
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Honey 2 tablespoons
- Margarine 5 oz
- Chocolate eggs 2 pieces
- Chopped almonds 3 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Bring honey, chopped margarine, sugar, and powdered sugar to a boil, add spices, and boil for exactly one minute while constantly stirring.
Step 2
Remove from heat and let cool, stirring, for about 10 minutes.
Step 3
Lightly beat the eggs until homogeneous and gradually add them to the honey mixture in a thin stream while constantly stirring.
Step 4
Add cognac and almond flakes to the batter.
Step 5
Sift in the flour, baking powder, and salt, and mix thoroughly until smooth, ensuring there are no lumps, then pour into the prepared mold.
Step 6
Grease the mold; I completely cover it with baking paper, using a loaf pan.
Step 7
Bake in a preheated oven at 320°F for 50 minutes. Check readiness with a toothpick; it should come out dry!
Step 8
Sprinkle the finished cake with powdered sugar or decorate to your liking; you can drizzle with sugar glaze.
