Honey Hazelnut Pastries
Ingredients
- Sugar 1½ cups
- Honey 10 oz
- Butter 10 oz
- Egg white 1 piece
- Wheat Flour 1½ cups
- Activated Baking Soda ½ teaspoon
- Walnuts 5 oz
- Cocoa Powder 2 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 390°F.
Step 2
Chop the flour with 100 grams of butter, add the egg, baking soda, 1/3 cup of honey, and 1/2 cup of sugar, and knead into a soft dough. Divide it into two equal parts and bake two rounds in a greased baking dish.
Step 3
To prepare the cream, combine sugar with honey and butter and cook over low heat, stirring continuously, until the butter and sugar dissolve. Without removing from heat, add cocoa powder and chopped nuts, bring to a boil, and cook for another 5 minutes.
Step 4
Layer the rounds with cream. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top and cut into square pastries.
