  • Wheat Flour 15 oz
  • Sugar 3 tablespoons
  • Egg white 2 pieces
  • Dry yeast 1 teaspoon
  • Milk 5 fl oz
  • Sour Cream 1 tablespoon
  • Butter 4 tablespoons
  • Honey 3 tablespoons
  • Salt ½ teaspoon

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Warm the milk slightly and combine it with the sour cream. Add the yeast, egg, melted butter, honey, sugar, and salt. Mix everything well. Add the sifted flour and knead a soft dough. Let it rise for 1.5 to 2 hours.

Step 2

Transfer the dough to a countertop and knead until smooth and non-sticky, adding a little flour as needed. Roll the dough out into a sheet (not too thin). Use a glass to cut out circles, making a hole in each circle and stretching it slightly into a ring.

Step 3

Place on a baking sheet lined with oiled parchment paper. Leave the bagels to rise for about 30 to 40 minutes. Preheat the oven, brush the bagels with egg yolk, and sprinkle with poppy seeds. Bake at 355°F for about 15 minutes.
