Homemade Tiramisu
Baking and Desserts • Italian
Description
It’s best to serve tiramisu the next day — the cookies will be fully soaked in the coffee mixture and become soft.
Ingredients
- Water 5 fl oz
- Chicken Egg 4 pieces
- Cottage cheese 10 oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Instant coffee 3 spoons
- "Jubilee Cookies" 20 oz
- Vanillin a pinch
- Cocoa Powder 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Separate the eggs into whites and yolks.
Step 2
Mix the egg yolks with the cottage cheese and add 50 grams of sugar. Add vanilla and beat the mixture with a mixer.
Step 3
Combine the egg whites with 50 grams of sugar. Beat with a mixer until you achieve a fluffy, light white mass (meringue).
Step 4
Add coffee to the container of water.
Step 5
Dip the cookies in coffee water and layer them in a dish with a wide base. Next, spread a layer of the cheese mixture. The third layer is the meringue mixture. Continue layering in this manner (2-3 layers), leaving the meringue on top. The number of layers depends on the width of the base of the dish; the wider it is, the fewer layers you will have.
Step 6
Refrigerate for 3 hours. Then, sprinkle a thin layer of cocoa powder on top and return to the refrigerator for an additional 2 hours — then it will be ready to serve.
