Ingredients
- Sugar 5 oz
- Water 1 cup
- Chopped almonds 15 oz
- Powdered Sugar 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Boil the water and sugar to make a syrup; bring to a boil and simmer for 20–30 seconds. Allow the syrup to cool completely.
Step 2
Place the almonds in a food processor and grind them to a powder.
Step 3
Then add the powdered sugar and, while the motor is running, gradually pour in the sugar syrup.
Step 4
When the mixture turns into a smooth, homogeneous mass, the process is complete.
Step 5
It is best to store marzipan wrapped in plastic wrap.
Step 6
If necessary, food coloring can be added to the finished marzipan.
