Description

During practice, I often end up with too much dough to roll out in one piece, so I usually divide it into two parts and roll out two sheets.

Ingredients

  • Milk 5 fl oz
  • Salt 1 teaspoon
  • Farm fresh eggs 2 pieces
  • Butter 5 oz
  • Sugar 1½ cups
  • Vanilla salt 0 oz
  • Ground Cinnamon 4 tablespoons
  • Semi-soft cream cheese 5 oz
  • Dry yeast 0 oz
  • Wheat Flour 5 cups
  • Powdered Sugar 1 cup

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Mix warm milk and yeast.

Step 2

Beat the eggs until fluffy.

Step 3

Add the eggs to the milk and yeast mixture, then add 0.5 cups of sugar, 1 packet of vanilla sugar, and 3 tablespoons of softened butter (you can soften it in the microwave, just make sure it's soft and not liquid).

Step 4

In a separate bowl, mix the flour and salt.

Step 5

Add the flour mixture to the milk mixture and gently knead the dough until it stops sticking to your hands; it should be soft in consistency. If there's not enough flour, you can add a little more, but don't overdo it, or the dough will be tough when baked.

Step 6

Cover the dough with a towel and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.

Step 7

Then, sprinkle the table with flour and roll out the dough into a fairly thin sheet, about 5 mm thick. It's important that it is much longer than it is wide, so the rolls will be larger.

Step 8

Spread the softened butter (about 3 tablespoons) over the dough.

Step 9

Evenly sprinkle with a mixture of 1 cup of sugar and cinnamon.

Step 10

Tightly roll it into a log; don't be afraid to roll it tightly, the pastries will be tender and won't fall apart.

Step 11

Cut the log into slices about 2–3 cm thick with a sharp knife.

Step 12

Line a baking dish with parchment paper and place the pastries in it. Put it in a preheated oven at 320°F and bake for about 35–40 minutes.

Step 13

While the rolls are baking, prepare the glaze. Mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, the remaining softened butter, and a packet of vanilla sugar. Gently stir until smooth.

Step 14

As soon as our pastries are ready, take them out of the oven and generously coat them with the glaze while they are still hot.

Step 15

You can let them cool a bit.
