
Homemade Apple Juice

Description
For the juice, choose firm and juicy apples, such as 'Granny Smith' or 'Honeycrisp', while the softer 'Golden Delicious' is better reserved for other dishes.
Ingredients
- Apple 5 lbs
- Sugar to taste

Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
Wash the apples. Cut them into large pieces and remove the cores.
Step 3
Send the apples to the juicer. You will get about one liter of juice from three kilograms of apples.
Step 4
Use a spoon or skimmer to remove the foam from the juice.
Step 5
Strain the juice through several layers of cheesecloth. At this stage, you can taste the juice and decide whether to add sugar or if it is sweet enough on its own.
Step 6
Pour the juice into a pot.
Step 7
Add sugar if needed.
Step 8
Place the pot over low heat. Bring the juice to a temperature of 90–205°F.
Step 9
Sterilize the jars over steam for 15–20 minutes.
Step 10
Pour the juice into sterilized jars and seal them.
Step 11
Enjoy homemade apple juice chilled.
