- Fish 20 oz
- Salad Potatoes 3 pieces
- Bay leaf 1 piece
- Carrot 1 piece
- Onion 1 head
- Butter 0 oz
- Sour Cream 4 tablespoons
- Herbs 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Thoroughly rinse the herring, cut it into pieces, and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil, skim off the foam, add salt, bay leaf, and cook for 15 minutes.
Step 2
Dice the potatoes and carrot, and add them to the fish broth. Cook for 15 minutes.
Step 3
Chop the onion, sauté it in butter, and add it to the soup. Cook for 10 minutes.
Step 4
Season the finished soup with sour cream and chopped herbs.
