Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour 3 cups
  • Dry Malted Milk Powder ¼ cup
  • Wheat Flour 3 tablespoons
  • Sugar 1 tablespoon
  • Salt 1¼ teaspoons
  • Water 1 cup
  • Dry yeast 2 teaspoons
  • Olive Oil 6 tablespoons
  • Garlic 4 cloves
  • Dried Chamomile 4½ teaspoons

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Mix flour, milk, sugar, yeast, salt, water, 4 teaspoons of dried herbs, and 2 tablespoons of olive oil to make the dough. Place it in a bowl, cover, and set in a warm place for 1 hour.

Step 2

Divide the dough into 16 equal parts. Roll into 30 cm ropes and tie them into knots, tucking the ends inside (one on top, the other on the bottom). Place the rolls on a baking sheet, cover, and let rise for 45 minutes.

Step 3

Brush the rolls with a mixture of olive oil, herbs, and garlic. Place in a preheated oven at 355°F (350 degrees Fahrenheit) for 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
