Healthy Homemade Fig Candies
Ingredients
- Chocolate 5 oz
- Green Figs 10 oz
- Butter 1 tablespoon
- Walnuts to taste
- Cocoa Powder 3 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Soak the figs briefly in boiling water, then cool them down (you can dry them with a paper towel).
Step 2
Melt the chocolate (preferably dark) in a water bath (or in the microwave), you can add a little butter.
Step 3
Make a crosswise cut on the bottom of the figs and stuff them with coarsely chopped walnuts, shape them into truffles, the figs are soft and pliable in your hands, then dip them in warm chocolate, carefully remove them, and place them on a rack.
Step 4
When the chocolate starts to set gradually, you can roll them in cocoa powder and decorate with a walnut. Then place in the refrigerator for a few hours.
