Halloween Ice Cream
Ingredients
- Butter 10 oz
- Liquid dark chocolate 10 oz
- Brown Sugar 1 cup
- Vanilla salt 1 tablespoon
- Chocolate eggs 6 pieces
- Vanilla Ice Cream 24 pieces
- Water 15 fl oz
- Cocoa Powder 1 cup
- Sugar 15 oz
- Light Corn Syrup 10 fl oz
- Gelatin 5 oz
- Vanilla extract 1 tablespoon
- Flavoring 1 teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 355°F.
Step 2
Mix the chopped chocolate and butter in a water bath. Remove from heat and add sugar, vanilla, eggs, and cocoa. Mix well.
Step 3
Place the ice cream cones on parchment paper and fill them with the batter, leaving a little space at the top. Bake for 20 minutes. Let cool.
Step 4
Pour water, sugar, and syrup into a small saucepan, sprinkle in the gelatin, and quickly stir until everything dissolves.
Step 5
Put the mixture on the heat and warm it until the sugar and gelatin are completely dissolved. Do not bring to a boil, just heat until hot. Dip two fingers into the mixture and check if it is homogeneous and very hot with no granules; if so, remove from heat. If not, heat for a little longer.
Step 6
Add vanilla and flavoring and whip with a mixer until foamy. You can whip until it reaches a marshmallow-like consistency. Then spread it on a greased baking sheet, let it set, and cut into small squares. Alternatively, you can whip it a little less, not to a thick consistency, and pipe it as meringue into each cone.
Step 7
After a while, when the mixture starts to set, fill a piping bag with it and fill the cones.
Step 8
Sprinkle orange and black cake decorations on top.
