
Green Smoothie with Spinach

Description
You can replace some of the spinach with sorrel. Or you can use any leafy greens instead — Swiss chard or even nettles. You can add a couple of teaspoons of lemon juice and one of honey, basil, mint, parsley, or tarragon, and swap the pear for a banana or peach.
Ingredients
- Spinach 0 oz
- Pear 1 piece
- Apple 1 piece
- Celery stalk 1 piece
- Olive Oil 2 teaspoons
- Ice to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the apple into large pieces without peeling it or removing the core. If the spinach has tough stems, remove them.
Step 2
Peel the outer tough skin from the celery stalk with a vegetable peeler and cut it into large pieces. Remove the seeds from the pear, discard the stem, and if the skin is very tough, it's better to peel it.
Step 3
Juice the apple, pour the juice into a blender, add the olive oil and spinach. Blend until smooth.
Step 4
Add all the other ingredients and ice. Blend and serve.
