Grated Apple Pie

Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour 1 cup
  • Semolina 1 cup
  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Apple 5 lbs
  • Sour Cream 5 oz
  • Ground Cinnamon to taste
  • Vanilla Sugar to taste
  • Baking Powder 0 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Step 2

Mix flour, semolina, sugar, and baking powder - this will be the dry mixture.

Step 3

Wash the apples, remove any excess, and grate them on a medium grater. The apples should look like fine shavings, not mush.

Step 4

In a baking dish, preferably with removable sides, because the pie will be moist, pour 1/3 of the dry mixture.

Step 5

Spread 1/3 of the grated apples on top of the dry mixture. Lightly sprinkle with cinnamon and vanilla sugar.

Step 6

Evenly sprinkle 1/2 of the remaining mixture on top, without pressing down the apples.

Step 7

Spread 1/2 of the remaining apples.

Step 8

Evenly add the remaining dry mixture on top.

Step 9

Place the remaining apples on top.

Step 10

Pour the sour cream, slightly diluted with water, or cream in a spiral over the pie. Do not mix in any way!

Step 11

Sprinkle with cinnamon and vanilla sugar.

Step 12

Bake for 45 minutes at 180°C. After baking, let the pie cool on its own to finish cooking.

Step 13

The pie is moist, so it will need to be eaten with a spoon. If you follow the recipe, it turns out incredibly delicious. Enjoy your meal!
