Description
Granola Bars with Peanut Butter
Ingredients
- Butter 0 oz
- Honey 0 oz
- Oats 15 oz
- Almond Flakes 5 oz
- Pecans 5 oz
- Pumpkin Seeds 0 oz
- Sunflower Seeds 0 oz
- Ground Cinnamon ½ teaspoon
- Raisins 5 oz
- Peanut Butter 5 oz
- Light Molasses 5 oz
- Brown Sugar 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 355°F and line a small baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2
In a small saucepan, melt the butter together with the honey.
Step 3
In a large bowl, mix the oats, almonds, chopped pecans, both types of seeds, ground cinnamon, and raisins. Pour in the butter-honey mixture and stir. The mixture will still be a bit dry.
Step 4
Spread the prepared mixture evenly on two baking sheets. Bake for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking and burning. When the granola turns golden, remove it from the oven and let it cool completely.
Step 5
In a medium saucepan, melt the peanut butter, molasses, and brown sugar. Transfer the cooled granola to a large bowl. Pour in the hot peanut mixture and stir to ensure all the granola is evenly coated.
Step 6
Press the granola onto the prepared baking sheet and let it cool completely. Once set, transfer the granola to a cutting board and cut into bars.
