Gooseberry dessert with wine, oranges, and pineapple
Ingredients
- Water 5 fl oz
- Gooseberry 20 oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Farm fresh eggs 4 pieces
- Milk 15 fl oz
- Almond Candy Coating 12 pieces
- Madeira 5 oz
- Oranges 1 piece
- Pineapple ½ piece
- Vanilla Ice Cream to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Wash the gooseberries and cook them in 125 ml of water with 100 g of sugar.
Step 2
Whisk the eggs with the remaining sugar until frothy. Heat the milk. Gradually mix the hot milk into the egg mixture while stirring continuously, and heat over very low heat until the mixture thickens. Cool the prepared cream.
Step 3
Place the gooseberries in glasses. Then add a layer of cream, followed by broken almond cookies, and drizzle with wine.
Step 4
Slice the orange and pineapple into thin wedges and arrange them on top of the dessert.
Step 5
Chill before serving.
Step 6
Serve with ice cream.
