Ingredients
- Carrot 30 oz
- Fat 3 spoons
- Prunes 5 oz
- Raisins ½ glasses
- Sugar 6 teaspoons
- Cinnamon ½ spoons
- Meyer Lemon Juice 1 tablespoon
- Honey 3 spoons
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Slice the carrot into thin rounds and sauté in fat over low heat until partially cooked.
Step 2
Meanwhile, in a heavy-bottomed saucepan, caramelize the sugar until it turns a deep brown.
Step 3
Add a cup of water, burnt sugar, honey, raisins, prunes, and cinnamon to a small pot and simmer on low heat for 1.5 to 2 hours, adding a little water if necessary.
Step 4
At the end, remove the lid, add lemon juice, and simmer on low heat for another 15–20 minutes.
