Golden Lemon Marmalade
Ingredients
- Lemon 25 oz
- Water 4 glasses
- Sugar 4 glasses
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Thinly slice each quarter of the lemons and transfer everything to a large pot. Add water and cheesecloth with the seeds, and let it sit at room temperature for 24 hours.
Step 2
Place a pot over medium heat and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer uncovered for about 45 minutes, until the volume is reduced to 4 cups.
Step 3
Add the sugar and, stirring, cook for about 15 minutes until a drop of jam sets on a cold plate. Don't forget to skim off the foam.
Step 4
Distribute the jelly into sterilized jars, leaving some space at the top, and seal tightly with the lid.
Step 5
Cut the lemons into quarters crosswise and remove the seeds. Wrap the seeds in a piece of cheesecloth.
