Glazed Raspberry Hearts
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 2 cups
- Sugar 0.3 cups
- Baking Powder 2 teaspoons
- Salt ½ teaspoon
- Butter 5 tablespoons
- Whipped Cream 1¼ cups
- Raspberry gin 0.3 cups
- Rose water ¼ teaspoon
- Powdered Sugar ½ cup
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 390°F.
Step 2
Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and 0.5 teaspoons of salt. Add the diced butter and mix well with your hands until crumbly. Gently incorporate 1 cup of cream and knead the dough.
Step 3
Place the dough on a sheet of foil and spread it out to a thickness of 1 cm. Use a heart-shaped cutter to cut out the buns. Flatten the remaining dough again and repeat the same process. Cut each heart in half horizontally. Spread jam on the bottom halves and cover with the top halves. Transfer to a baking sheet and bake for about 18 minutes until golden brown. Transfer to a plate and let cool slightly.
Step 4
Meanwhile, mix the powdered sugar, 3 tablespoons of cream, and rose water (optional). When the buns are warm, spread the glaze on top. Serve warm.
