Gingerbread cookies with cinnamon
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 2 glasses
- Sugar 1 glass
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Baking Powder 1 tablespoon
- Butter 5 oz
- Grated Ginger Root 2 pieces
- Ground Cinnamon 1 tablespoon
- Clove 5 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 355°F.
Step 2
Mix the flour with the baking powder, peeled and finely grated ginger, and ground cloves and cinnamon.
Step 3
Soften the butter. Beat the butter with the sugar until pale, then add the egg, flour, and knead the dough.
Step 4
Dust the countertop with flour, place the dough on it, and roll it out. Cut out cookies in the shape you prefer. Sprinkle with sugar or ground almonds.
Step 5
Grease a baking sheet with oil, dust it with flour, and arrange the cookies on it. Bake in a preheated oven for 25–30 minutes.
