Gingerbread Cookies with Almonds
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
- Chopped almonds 5 oz
- Vanilla salt 0 oz
- Ginger 1 teaspoon
- Oranges 2 pieces
- Salt to taste
- Candied fruits to taste
- Sugar 5 oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Bitter 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Sift the flour and mix it with the almonds, ground ginger, vanilla sugar, finely chopped orange zest, and salt.
Step 2
Dry the ginger, cut it into tiny cubes, mix with sugar, and incorporate it into the main mixture.
Step 3
Chop the butter into flakes and sprinkle it on top. Using chilled hands, rub this mixture into crumbs.
Step 4
Grease a baking sheet and spread a little more than half of the dough on it, pressing it lightly into shape. Sprinkle the remaining dough in crumbs on top. Immediately place the form in a hot oven and bake at 430°F (428 degrees Fahrenheit) for 20-25 minutes until golden yellow. Then remove from the oven and let it sit briefly on the baking sheet to evaporate excess moisture.
Step 5
While still warm, cut the cake into sticks 6 cm long and let cool.
Step 6
Melt the chocolate in a hot water bath, then slightly cool it and dip the ends of the sticks into it one by one. Let cool.
