Description
A few secrets: 1) It's convenient to roll out the dough on a plastic board, covered with plastic wrap. 2) I bake the cookies on a non-stick baking sheet. 3) You can brush the cookies with egg yolk to make them shiny. For this, take a pastry brush with fine bristles and very carefully and evenly coat the cookies; otherwise, there will be brush marks on them. But I prefer them without yolk.
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Ground clove to taste
- Honey 0 oz
- Powdered Sugar 0 oz
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Activated Baking Soda 1 teaspoon
- Grated Ginger Root to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. The dough is heavy and takes a long time to knead; it should be very dry and thick. Leave the dough in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
Step 2
Roll out the dough to a thickness of 2-3 mm, cut out cookies with cookie cutters, and place them on a baking sheet.
Step 3
Preheat the oven to 300°F.
Step 4
Bake for 30 minutes on the middle rack in cake mode.
