Description
This is a version of a pie that is quite often made by Italians. It likely became popular due to its simplicity in preparation. The taste is reminiscent of our cottage cheese casserole, elevated by the Italians to the status of a pie.

- Savoiardi Cookies 10 oz
- Walnuts 0 oz
- Brown Sugar 0,3 glasses
- Butter 5 oz
- Sour Cream 5 oz
- Ricotta cheese 10 oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Chicken Egg 3 pieces
- Candied fruits 5 oz
- Oranges 1 piece
- Lime 1 piece
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
For the shortcrust pastry, crumble the ladyfinger biscuits, chop the walnuts with a knife, add brown sugar and butter, mix everything well, then press the mixture into a 24 cm springform pan and refrigerate for twenty minutes.
Step 2
Grate the ginger and mix it in a bowl with sour cream, ricotta, one hundred grams of white sugar, eggs, and citrus zest.
Step 3
Cover the chilled crust with the ginger mixture and bake in the oven at 355°F for about half an hour.
