Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 20 oz
- Salt to taste
- Sugar 0 oz
- Dry yeast 0 oz
- Lard 5 oz
- Milk 5 fl oz
- Water 5 fl oz
- Flaky sea salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 430°F.
Step 2
Combine flour, salt, yeast, sugar, and lard. Gradually add warm milk while stirring continuously. Knead the dough and let it rest for 15 minutes.
Step 3
Dust your hands with flour and roll the dough into ropes. Twist them into pretzel shapes and secure the ends.
Step 4
Place the pretzels on a greased baking sheet. Brush with salted water and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
Step 5
Bake in the oven for 30 minutes, brushing the pretzels with salted water twice.
