Ingredients
- Garlic 4 cloves
- Coarse Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Butter 4 tablespoons
- French Baguette 1 piece
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 355°F.
Step 2
Cut the tops off the heads of garlic to slightly expose the cloves. Wrap each head in foil and place on a baking sheet. Bake in the oven for 1 hour, until the flesh is soft. Let cool in the foil. Squeeze the flesh from the cloves into a small bowl.
Step 3
Add the softened butter, a bit of salt, and pepper to the garlic.
Step 4
Slice the baguette in half lengthwise and spread the mixture on the inner sides. Press the halves together, place on a baking sheet, and bake in the oven until golden brown for 12 minutes. Slice and serve.
