Fruit Salad in Spicy Syrup
Ingredients
- Water ¾ cup
- Honey 2½ tablespoons
- Cinnamon 1 piece
- Cardamom 1 piece
- Ground clove 5 pieces
- Mango 1 piece
- Kiwi 1 piece
- Lime 1 piece
- Asian Pear 1 piece
- Ground dried cherries 0 oz
- Orange zest 2 pieces
- Chopped Sage Leaves 1 tablespoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a saucepan, combine water, honey, cloves, cinnamon, and cardamom. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 10 minutes until syrupy. Remove from heat and cool for 5 minutes. Then strain.
Step 2
In the warm syrup, add diced mango, kiwi, pear, lime, cherries, and orange zest.
Step 3
Before serving, add mint and serve warm or chilled.
