Fruit Salad
Baking and Desserts • Australian
Description
Strangely enough, we tend to prepare fruit salads more often in winter than in summer. Perhaps it's because, in summer, fruits are seen as disposable items. In winter, however, fruits acquire additional value, so simply slicing, mixing, and serving them doesn’t seem like such a utilitarian idea. Especially since this salad is packed with exotic fruits. Banana, kiwi, orange – a sweet and tangy burst of fruity goodness in its purest form. Plus, there's a light dressing made from fruit yogurt, which seems to add no extra calories at all. The salad can be served on its own as a dessert or as an accompaniment to pancakes or morning oatmeal. After such a breakfast, dreariness and bad weather will seem like minor inconveniences.
