Description
This pie is suitable for children's and dietary menus, so it contains no sugar and cannot be considered sweet. If you have a sweet tooth, you can add some while cooking the fruit mixture (about 120 ml).
Ingredients
- Apple juice with pulp 10 fl oz
- Dried Apricots 5 oz
- Raisins 5 oz
- Butter 0 oz
- Wheat Flour ¾ cup
- Vanillin 1 teaspoon
- Ground Cinnamon 1½ teaspoons
- Egg white 2 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Combine the dried apricots and apple juice in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook until the apricots are soft.
Step 2
Add the raisins and butter. Heat over low heat, stirring, until the butter melts. Remove from heat and let cool.
Step 3
In a deep bowl, mix the flour, vanillin, and cinnamon. Add the egg whites and mix well. Gradually combine with the fruit mixture.
Step 4
Pour into a greased baking dish. Bake at a low temperature for 35–40 minutes. Serve completely cooled, cut into pieces of 3x4 cm.
