Fruit and Jelly Cake
Ingredients
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
- Salt a pinch
- Powdered Sugar 10 oz
- Gelatin 5 oz
- Water 2 cups
- Red Food Coloring to taste
- Desiccated coconut 5 oz
- Mandarin Puree 1 piece
- Kiwi 2 pieces
- Beans 1 piece
- Grapefruits to taste
- Canned Peaches 1 can
- Activated Baking Soda on the tip of a knife
- Jelly Powder 20 oz
- Mandarin Puree 1 jar
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
For the batter, separate the yolks from the whites. Beat the yolks with powdered sugar, gently fold in the whipped egg whites, add flour and baking soda, and mix.
Step 2
Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and bake in a preheated oven.
Step 3
Soak the gelatin in cold water and let it swell. After 1-2 hours, place the swollen gelatin in a water bath and, stirring constantly, heat until the gelatin turns into a homogeneous mixture.
Step 4
After that, it can be colored (if desired) with food coloring.
Step 5
Remove the baked sponge from the pan, let it cool, and cut it into two layers. Spread each layer with mandarin jam. Top with peeled and sliced fruits and pour over the jelly. Sprinkle the sides of the cake with shredded coconut.
