Fried Watermelon
Ingredients
- Watermelon 1 piece
- Corn Starch 5 oz
- Farm fresh eggs 2 pieces
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Vegetable Oil 25 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the washed watermelon, separate the flesh from the rind, remove the seeds, and cut into diamond-shaped pieces. Dust them with flour.
Step 2
Mix the egg whites and cornstarch with water until it reaches a jelly-like consistency, dip the watermelon pieces into the mixture, and stir well to ensure they are evenly coated.
Step 3
Place a saucepan over high heat, pour in all the vegetable oil, heat to 230°F, and drop in the watermelon pieces one by one. Fry until the pieces are covered with a solid crust, then remove the saucepan from the heat and continue frying for 1 minute.
Step 4
When the pieces turn light yellow, place them on a plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve immediately.
