Description

Za'atar is a Middle Eastern blend of ground dried thyme, toasted sesame seeds, and salt. Keep this in mind if you want to substitute this spice with something else.

Ingredients

  • Parsley Stems 6 stems
  • Coarse Salt a pinch
  • Olive Oil 1 tablespoon
  • Za'atar a pinch

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Cut the stems to a length of 5 cm.

Step 2

Mix the spices with the oil and coat the stems in this mixture.

Step 3

Fry in a pan (3 minutes) or in the oven (5 minutes at 390°F) until crispy. All moisture should be released, and they should become dry. The stems will turn brown (but not black).
