Description

You can cook an entire pack of chickpeas, peel them, let them dry, and store them in the freezer. Then you won't have to go through all these steps every time; just throw the chickpeas in the pan. They can be served as a snack or added to salads and pilafs.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Soak the chickpeas in a large amount of cold water overnight.

Step 2

In the morning, rinse and boil over medium heat (about 1 hour; the chickpeas should not be too soft).

Step 3

Pour cold water over them and peel the skins.

Step 4

Fry in a small amount of olive oil, adding pepper and salt.
