- Medium-dry sherry 5 fl oz

Step 1
In a skillet, melt the butter with the sugar. Once the sugar starts to bubble, add the cherries and sauté them until they begin to release their juice.
Step 2
Add the sherry and simmer for about ten minutes — all the alcohol should evaporate. Serve the sautéed cherries warm or cold, with ice cream.
