Fresh Berry Jam
Ingredients
- Strawberry 15 oz
- Sugar 1½ cups
- Lemon ½ piece
- Fresh Berries 5 oz
- Serviceberries 5 oz
- Raspberry leaves 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the strawberries into quarters and place them in a pot. Add the sugar and let it sit for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally until the sugar slightly dissolves.
Step 2
Squeeze the lemon juice into the berries and add the peel, bring to a boil while stirring until the sugar completely dissolves. Cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes until the strawberries become soft. Add the remaining berries and cook for another 20-25 minutes until the jam slightly thickens, skimming off any foam.
Step 3
Remove the lemon and pour into sterilized jars. Seal tightly and let cool. Store in the refrigerator.
