French Toast with Fruits
Ingredients
- Farm fresh eggs 3 pieces
- Milk 5 fl oz
- Powdered Sugar 1 tablespoon
- Beans 4 slices
- Vanilla Pod ½ piece
- Orange bitters 0 fl oz
- Butter 0 oz
- Fresh Berries to taste
- Honey to taste
- Fresh Mint to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Place the eggs, milk, and sugar in a deep bowl and whisk thoroughly. Add the vanilla seeds and liqueur to the egg-milk mixture and whisk again well.
Step 2
Heat a large skillet over medium heat, add the butter, and let it melt before placing the toast.
Step 3
If the bread slices are large, you can cut them in half and dip them in the egg-milk mixture, allowing each piece to soak well.
Step 4
Place on the heated skillet and fry over medium heat for about two minutes on each side until a golden crispy crust forms. Do not overcrowd the skillet. The toast should brown. Repeat the same with the remaining bread slices.
Step 5
Transfer the toast to a serving plate, drizzle generously with honey, sprinkle with powdered sugar, add a handful of berries or sliced seasonal fruits, and garnish with mint if desired.
