French Quiche
Ingredients
- Onion 2 pieces
- Skin-On Chicken Breasts 10 oz
- Fresh Mushrooms 10 oz
- Cheese Spread 5 oz
- Egg white 3 pieces
- Sour Cream 2 tablespoons
- Salt to taste
- Butter 5 oz
- Wheat Flour 2 cups
- Broccoli 10 oz
- Water 2 tablespoons
- Herbes de Provence to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare the dough: In a deep bowl, pour in the flour, add the butter cut into cubes and salt (0.5 teaspoons). Mix until a homogeneous mass is obtained.
Step 2
Mix the egg with 2 tablespoons of water and add it to the dough. Knead until a soft dough is formed. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Step 3
For the filling, boil the chicken breast and, if desired, the broccoli.
Step 4
Chop the breast, mushrooms, onion, and broccoli.
Step 5
Sauté the chopped onion in vegetable oil over medium heat until golden brown. Add the mushrooms and cook for about 10 minutes until the liquid evaporates.
Step 6
Take a baking dish and grease it with butter. Roll out the dough and line the dish, forming edges. The layer of dough should not be too thin, but try to avoid thickening at the bends of the dish before the edges.
Step 7
Place the chicken, mushrooms, and broccoli on the dough. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Beat the eggs, sour cream, herbs, and salt together. Pour the resulting mixture over the filling.
Step 8
Bake in a preheated oven at 355°F for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
