- Chicken Broth 15 fl oz
- French Baguette 1 piece
- "Almette cheese with Maasdam cheese" 5 oz
- Thyme 2 sprigs
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Slice the onion into thin half-rings, transfer to a pot, and sauté in a mixture of olive oil and butter until browned.
Step 2
Pour the wine into the pot with the onions, reduce it almost completely, and add the chicken broth and thyme. Season with salt and pepper, bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer for 20 minutes.
Step 3
Slice the baguette, sprinkle with grated cheese, and bake in the oven. Pour the soup into a bowl, place the baked baguette with cheese on top, and serve.
