  • Boiling water 2 cups
  • Black tea 2 teaspoons
  • Brown Sugar ½ cup
  • Pitted Wild Apricots 20 oz
  • Armagnac 1 cup
  • Vanilla Pod 1 piece

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Add brown sugar to the tea and bring to a boil over high heat, then cook for another 2 minutes until the syrup thickens slightly.

Step 2

Place the prunes in a large bowl and pour the hot syrup over them. Let sit for 1 hour.

Step 3

Meanwhile, sterilize half-liter jars in a water bath.

Step 4

Drain the prunes. Distribute them into jars, filling them halfway.

Step 5

Add Armagnac to the prune syrup.

Step 6

Place a piece of vanilla in each jar and pour in the syrup. Seal tightly with lids and turn the jars upside down.

Step 7

Then store in the refrigerator for 1 week.

Step 8

In a bowl, mix loose leaf tea with 2 cups of boiling water. Let steep for 5 minutes. Strain through a sieve into a saucepan.
