Ingredients
- Sugar 1 tablespoon
- Water ⅓ glasses
- Salt ½ spoons
- Dry yeast 0 oz
- Wheat Flour 2 glasses
- Olive Oil 4 spoons
- Ocean salt to taste
- Italian herb blend to taste
- Pitted olives to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water and let it sit until the yeast starts to foam. In a large bowl, sift the flour and make a well in the center. Add the yeast mixture, salt, and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Knead the dough, adding warm water by the tablespoon if necessary. Knead the dough until smooth and shape it into a ball.
Step 2
Take 2 tablespoons of olive oil and pour them into a large bowl. Coat the dough ball with the oil, cover it with a towel, and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Step 3
Preheat the oven to 390°F. Place the dough on a floured work surface and knead it once more.
Step 4
Roll out a thick flatbread and place it on a greased baking sheet. Brush the top with olive oil, sprinkle with coarse salt, herbs, and sliced olives.
