Ingredients
- Butter 5 oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Wheat Flour 15 oz
- Milk 5 fl oz
- Farm fresh eggs 4 pieces
- Baking Powder 1½ teaspoons
- Marinated cherries 5 oz
- Powdered Sugar to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Beat the butter with sugar until creamy. Then add the eggs one at a time, continuing to beat the mixture until smooth.
Step 2
In a separate bowl, mix the flour and baking powder. Gradually add the milk and stir.
Step 3
Drain the juice from the cherries, lightly dust with flour, and add to the batter.
Step 4
Pour the creamy mixture of butter, sugar, and eggs into the flour, and mix thoroughly and gently.
Step 5
Preheat the oven to 355°F. Grease a baking dish with butter or line it with parchment paper.
Step 6
Transfer the batter to the dish and bake in the oven for 45–55 minutes until done. Allow the pie to cool and dust with powdered sugar.
